Responsibilities

As a Customs Brokerage Clerk, your key responsibilities will include :

  • Preparing and processing customs documentation to ensure the smooth import and export of goods.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant customs regulations and procedures.
  • Liaising with clients, customs officials, and internal teams to resolve any issues or queries.
  • Monitoring shipments and ensuring timely clearance through customs.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation for auditing purposes.
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in customs laws and regulations.
Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have :

  • Previous experience in customs brokerage or a related field (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts from 21 : 00 to 05 : 30, Monday to Friday.
Day-to-Day

Your typical day (or night!) will involve :

  • Reviewing and processing customs documentation for shipments.
  • Communicating with clients and customs authorities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Tracking shipments and updating relevant stakeholders on their status.
  • Resolving any issues or delays that may arise during the customs clearance process.
  • Collaborating with team members to meet deadlines and maintain high service standards.
