Graduate Software Engineer - AI & Core Systems : Oxbridge and Ivy League education

We are representing a firm who are building technically demanding AI systems and are hiring a small number of graduate software engineers to work on core production infrastructure.

This role is intentionally selective. It is designed for individuals who have excelled in the most rigorous academic and technical environments globally, and who want early, substantive ownership of real systems.

You will work on production-grade software that underpins their AI capabilities. This includes designing, implementing, and debugging systems written primarily in Python, operating across services, data pipelines, and model-facing components.

You will be expected to reason clearly about system behaviour, make sound technical trade-offs, and write code that is reliable under real-world conditions. This is not a theoretical or rotational graduate role — you will ship, maintain, and own meaningful pieces of the system from the outset.

We are looking for engineers who combine exceptional academic ability with strong practical execution.

You should have:

• A first‑rate technical education, with outstanding performance in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a closely related discipline
• Training from a world‑leading university with a global reputation for academic excellence, such as University of Oxford, MIT, or Harvard University
• Clear evidence of ranking at or near the top of your cohort in a highly competitive academic environment

• Advanced proficiency in Python; additional experience in languages such as Type Script, Go, Rust, or C++ is advantageous
• Experience building and debugging real software systems, not just coursework or toy projects
• Strong understanding of core computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and system design
• Ability to move comfortably between abstraction and implementation
