Agency: Digisourced (DCG IT Ltd) – Acting as a Recruitment agency on behalf of its client in relations to this vacancy.
Locations: Nottingham (Hybrid – 2 days onsite) | London (Hybrid – occasional travel to Nottingham)
Rate: £350 per day (Subject to experience)
Engagement: Umbrella only (via FCSA/Professional Passport accredited providers)
The Assignment- Digisourced is representing a premier Technology firm seeking a seasoned Python Developer for a long term contract.
- This isn't just a scripting role; you will be instrumental in designing, scaling, and securing cloud-native applications that power core enterprise services.
- You will join an agile squad tasked with shipping production-ready Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and high-performance back-end systems from day one.
- Develop: Build scalable back-end services using Python (3.10+) and FastAPI/Flask.
- Architect: Provision and manage AWS resources (Lambda, S3, RDS, Dynamo
DB, VPC) using Terraform or AWS CDK. - Streamline: Own and optimize CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Optimize: Monitor performance via Cloud Watch and manage cloud cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate: Drive quality through TDD and Pair Programming within an Agile framework.
- Languages/Frameworks: Python (Django, FastAPI, Flask).
- AWS Ecosystem: Lambda, S3, RDS, Dynamo
DB, VPC, Step Functions. - API Design: RESTful, Graph
QL, App Sync. - IaC: Terraform or AWS CDK.
- CI/CD: Git Lab Cloud, Git Hub Actions, or AWS Code Pipeline.
To meet the technical complexity and negotiated rate for this assignment, we are looking for consultants who can demonstrate:
- Advanced Proficiency: Deep integration of AWS Cloud services with Python.
- Methodology: A strong background in Agile best practices and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Proven Track Record: Typically, 5+ years of professional cloud engineering experience is required to hit the ground running.
- Role Type: Contract / Temporary Assignment.
- Duration: 6–12 Months (Initial) + potential extensions.
- Transparency (KID): In accordance with Regulation 13A of the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003
, a Key Information Document (KID) will be provided to all candidates prior to engagement. This ensures full transparency regarding pay rates, statutory deductions, and net take-home estimates. - Location Flexibility: While the hub is in Nottingham (requiring 2 days onsite), we welcome London based applicants who can accommodate occasional travel to the Nottingham site as needed.
