About

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to join a prominent public sector digital transformation project. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful government initiatives by developing, customizing, and maintaining Salesforce solutions within a secure environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing scalable and efficient Salesforce applications, integrating various systems, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet the specific needs of the public sector.

This position is primarily remote, with occasional travel to London, and provides a unique chance to work on a high-profile project that makes a difference in public service delivery.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Salesforce development, with proven experience in building and customizing Salesforce applications. Essential qualifications include Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II, along with a solid understanding of Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and Salesforce APIs. Experience working within secure government or enterprise environments is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem‑solving skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a proactive approach to project challenges.

A background in working with security protocols and compliance standards relevant to the public sector will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Salesforce solutions that align with project requirements. Key responsibilities include customizing Salesforce objects, creating workflows, and developing Lightning components to enhance user experience. The role involves integrating Salesforce with other enterprise systems using APIs and middleware, ensuring data security and compliance with government standards. The developer will also perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal system performance.

Collaboration with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders is essential to deliver solutions on time and within scope. Additionally, the developer will contribute to documentation, participate in code reviews, and support ongoing system enhancements and maintenance.

Benefits

This role offers a competitive day rate of up to £650, inside IR35 via umbrella, for an initial 6‑month contract with a high likelihood of extension. The position provides flexible working arrangements, mainly remote, with occasional travel to London. Candidates will have the opportunity to gain Security Clearance, which can be a valuable credential for future roles within the government and public sector.

Additional benefits include professional development opportunities, exposure to high‑profile government projects, and the chance to work within a dynamic and supportive team environment focused on innovation and digital transformation.
