We are seeking an experienced C#/.NET Developer to join a high-performing delivery team working on business-critical systems within a major UK energy trading environment. This role sits within a globally recognised Microsoft-focused consultancy delivering into a large-scale trading and commodities platform. You will be contributing to the design, build, and optimisation of high-availability backend services supporting fast-paced trading operations.

This is a hands‑on backend engineering role within a modern Azure‑based microservices architecture.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C# and .NET
• Build and enhance microservices and RESTful APIs
• Develop cloud‑native solutions using Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, Azure SQL, Service Bus)
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and performance‑optimised
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams across distributed stakeholders
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision‑making
• Support production releases and continuous improvement initiatives

• 5 years’ experience in C#/.NET backend development
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Hands‑on experience with Azure services (App Services, Functions, Azure SQL, Service Bus)
• CI/CD pipeline experience using Azure Dev Ops
• Strong knowledge of performance optimisation and secure coding practices
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery models

• Experience with in trading, commodities, or financial services environments
• Exposure to high-throughput, low-latency systems
• Experience working in regulated or enterprise‑scale environments

• Fast-paced, delivery-focused trading domain
• Hybrid working (minimum three days per week in Central London)
• High visibility programme within a large-scale, business-critical platform
