SDLC​/API Design - Sr Backend Engineer - Investment Management

Miryco Consultants is working with a leading global Investment Management firm, seeking a Senior Application Engineer (Backend cloud-based application development), with deep technical expertise and thought leadership. This role is great for someone eager to drive strategy and foster a developer community within your domain.

• Provide advanced backend development expertise and technical guidance to the team.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC, from requirements through deployment and maintenance.
• Apply industry best practices, emerging technologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with technical, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
• Promote high-quality engineering standards (e.g., TDD/BDD, design patterns, secure coding).
• Mentor team members and contribute to documentation, reviews, and special projects.

• 5+ years experience designing APIs for mobile applications, ideally within event-driven architectures.
• Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of AWS, API design, automation testing.
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with scalable microservices (Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, OAuth 2.0 preferred).
