Senior Frontend Developer

Miller Maxwell is supporting a rapidly growing electronic trading firm in London seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to work as part of a team as the client implements a new trading strategy during 2026.

This is a rare opportunity to be part of frontend strategy, architecture, and implementation for a next‑generation, high‑performance UI used by traders, quants, and senior stakeholders across the business. • Take ownership of a major greenfield initiative to build a new electronic trading platform.
• Lead and mentor a small team of frontend engineers, implementing new ideas and being focal point for technical direction.
• Design and implement UI's for real-time trading system that takes into account data, latency and performance.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, traders, quants, and senior leadership.
• Contribute to frontend architectural decisions and the evolution of the wider platform.
• Propose and implement new ideas across the codebase — you’ll have real freedom to innovate.
• Work across the stack where needed (Java/Python) to support data services powering UI components.

• Proven commercial frontend experience within financial services or an electronic trading environment (Bank, Hedge Fund, Asset Manager, Broker, Exchange, Prop Trading, etc.).
• Strong understanding of UI principles, performance optimisation, and scalable patterns.
• Confident communicator able to collaborate with senior stakeholders.

• Backend experience with Java and/or Python is highly advantageous.
