Global Logic, a Hitachi Group Company, is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer for a contract opportunity based in London. We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated engineer with a proven track record in developing innovative digital products, platforms, and services for the world's most forward‑thinking companies.

The successful candidate will play a key role in engineering new digital experiences, upholding best‑in‑class performance, efficiency, and design standards.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands‑on experience and a strong foundation in the following areas:

• Expertise in full stack development, delivering end-to‑end systems using React, Type Script, and Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience with Backstage, including plugin development, managing the software catalogue, and utilizing Tech Docs.
• Proficiency in designing scalable, resilient, and cost‑efficient distributed architectures.
• Familiarity with modern infrastructure tools such as Kubernetes and Terraform, as well as observability stacks.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate and secure services across major cloud platforms.

• Confidence in leading architectural discussions and driving small‑scale technical initiatives.
• Strong written communication skills, capable of producing clear, comprehensive design documentation and RFCs.
• A strong commitment to enhancing the developer experience and achieving measurable productivity improvements.

• Develop and maintain intuitive React/Backstage web applications.
• Design, implement, and manage scalable back‑end services using Type Script/Node.js, deployed on Linux/Kubernetes.
• Ensure quality via comprehensive testing and manage automated CI/CD (Git Hub, Jenkins, Argo CD).
• Own deployed components, including on‑call support and post‑incident reviews.
• Mentor engineers, lead technical discussions, code reviews, and promote continuous learning.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prototype and iterate on solutions for process improvement.
