Frontend Developer

London — on-site, 5 days per week. Full-time role requiring 2–5 years’ experience.

I am working with an early-stage, venture-backed energy technology startup that is building the intelligence layer for the electrification of real estate and infrastructure. Their platform uses geospatial analytics and machine learning to help investors, developers and operators identify the best opportunities for deploying EV charging, solar and battery storage, accelerating the global energy transition. They are backed by leading European VCs and led by a team with experience at Tesla, Palantir and CBRE.

Having recently raised a significant pre-seed round, they are now scaling their engineering team.

My client is looking for a talented Frontend Engineer with strong experience in React, Next.js and Type Script . This person will design and build the user interfaces that power their platform, from exploratory data tools to interactive dashboards. A major part of the role will be contributing to a frontend migration project that modernises existing codebases.

The position is based on-site in London, 5 days per week
, working closely with product managers, designers and backend engineers.

• Develop high-quality, scalable frontends using React, Next.js and Type Script
• Contribute to the design and implementation of a major migration project, modernising existing frontend codebases
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and backend engineers to build seamless user experiences
• Optimise application performance and ensure responsiveness across devices
• Write clean, maintainable and testable code, following best practices

• 2–5 years’ experience as a frontend or fullstack engineer
• Strong expertise in React, Next.js and Type Script
• Solid understanding of frontend architecture, state management and UI/UX principles
• Strong problem-solving skills and an outcome-oriented mindset
• A degree from a leading university in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (preferred but not essential)
• Excited by working in a fast-paced startup environment and motivated by the mission to accelerate electrification
