Software Engineer – HFT Equities & Futures

Our client is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Equities and Futures team on a new trading desk. This company is a global leader in technology, trading, and business operations. The team focuses on connectivity, market access, and understanding US equities to optimize trading systems.

The role requires collaboration with trading and technology teams, leading projects independently, and possessing excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Experience with equities trading systems is essential.

Responsibilities:

Developing and optimizing high-performance equity trading systems using C++.

Leading projects of various sizes independently.

Collaborating with Quantitative Traders to innovate in equity and futures trading systems.

Working in high-pressure environments to deliver quick solutions.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Extensive experience in software engineering with a focus on C++.

Proven experience with US Equity Trading Systems, including high and mid-frequency trading.

Skills in building, optimizing, and maintaining high-performance trading systems.

Experience with large-scale projects requiring quick, independent solutions.

Understanding of quantitative trading needs.

Interest in emerging technologies applicable to equity trading.

Strong academic background in STEM from a reputable university.
