We are assisting a YC-backed Insur Tech startup who are looking for a Product Engineer to help build the 0 → 1 version of its AI-powered insurance claims platform.

The company enables insurers to outsource claims operations entirely, combining AI systems with human expertise to deliver faster, more accurate claim assessments and a genuinely better customer experience at life’s most difficult moments.

This is an early, hands-on role with significant ownership, working closely with founders, customers, and a small, elite engineering team.

• Build and ship core product features for an AI-powered claims platform
• Develop customer-facing software for submitting, tracking, and managing insurance claims
• Work closely with internal teams and external customers to understand and improve real-world claim workflows
• Help design and scale a proprietary ML-backed claim handling system
• Contribute to technical and product decisions as the platform evolves from 0 → 1

• Experience building production software
• Strong product mindset with a bias toward shipping quickly
• Experience designing scalable, simple backend systems, any back-end language, but they use Type Script, so node and typescript are preferred but not essential
• Platform or infrastructure experience, particularly with GCP and/or Terraform

• Comfortable working closely with users and incorporating feedback
• Able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Thrives in ambiguity and fast-moving environments
• Skilled Worker visa sponsorship in the UK
• Work alongside an experienced team (ex-Revolut, Meta, Scale AI)
• Direct collaboration with founders and the chance to shape engineering culture from day one
