Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining Akamai's object storage platform for Linode. Our enterprise grade solution is an essential element to Akamai's Connected Cloud platform. We provide a scalable and secure storage solution for Linode's customers to build their businesses.

As part of our team, you will focus on building highly reliable, scalable and cost-effective storage solutions. Our platform empowers enterprises to create modern solutions to the world's problems.

• Getting in early on an exceptionally rare and impactful project
• Working with a small team to solve complex issues
• Designing systems that scale
• Working to define the next generation of cloud tooling

• Demonstrate relevant experience and education in Computer Science or a related field
• Have proven professional experience in Go or C++
• Have solid experience building high-performance, reliable systems (profiling, concurrency, memory/latency optimisation, and performance debugging)
• Have shipped production software end-to-end, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, triage, incident response, and root-cause analysis
• Show proven experience in designing and improving complex distributed systems, particularly with performance-critical system development expertise
• Be comfortable working in an Agile development environment (iterative delivery, reviews, planning, and continuous improvement)
