Leading global HFT firm is looking for a pragmatic C/C++ Engineer to join the Core Development team. The role is based in our London office, which serves as a hub for managing substantial operations across the UK, Europe and the Middle East, while maintaining a lively, start‑up environment with the stability of a long‑established player.
Salary: up to £200k base + bonus
Core Dev is a global group of technologists who architect, build and maintain the algorithmic trading platform. In this fast‑paced area you’ll take ideas through to deployment quickly and accurately. As a high‑performance software engineer you’ll work with technologists and traders to build the next‑generation of software solutions in areas such as fast networking, high‑performance computing and real‑time acceleration.
Technology is prized by the traders as crucial to their continued success. This role suits someone who combines low‑level software engineering skills with computer‑architecture understanding and exposure to low‑level network architecture, enabling full contribution to co‑designing hybrid hardware/software applications.
Requirements- Strong C/C++ design and programming skills with good API design
- Broad knowledge of algorithms and basic understanding of statistics and algebra
- Experience with Python, Matlab or R for data analytics;
Matplotlib, Num Py are also preferred - Experience developing low‑level and/or embedded software applications
- Proven individual contributor in a dynamic environment
- Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
