Frontend Engineer – Embedded Finance at Dojo

As part of the Customer Apps Embedded Finance team, you will help shape the next generation of financial experiences for Dojo’s merchants, building a suite of tools around Takings, Transfers, Billing, Rewards, and Cashflow.
The RoleOur goal is to transform the way customers interact with our products, aiming to offer a streamlined application suite that consolidates all their processes.
You will interface with many of Dojo’s products and build a new home for them.
Responsibilities- Design and develop new product features using modern front‑end technologies.
- Write high‑quality, well‑tested, and maintainable code.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and team planning.
- Collaborate with design and product to define user experience and technical requirements.
- Contribute to the Web Chapter and the collaborative web engineering culture at Dojo.
- Mentor and train junior colleagues in modern best practices.
- 5+ years of professional experience in front‑end web development.
- Expert knowledge of React, Type Script, and Next.js.
- Deep understanding of modern front‑end architecture (state management, component patterns, hooks, etc.).
- Experience with web testing frameworks such as Vitest, Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Experience with CSS‑in‑JS libraries like Vanilla Extract, Emotion, or Styled Components.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and version control (e.g., Git).
- Experience contributing to a centralised Design System or component library (e.g., Storybook).
- Knowledge of backend APIs (Graph
QL) and how they integrate with front‑end systems. - Passion for product quality and user experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally.
- An eye for visual design.
- Experience with Chromatic, a visual testing and review tool.
- Deep knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices (WCAG, WAI‑ARIA).
- Exposure to analytics and user behaviour tracking.
- Experience with observability tools (Sentry, Log Rocket).
