As a Senior Data Engineer on the Events team, you will design and maintain real‑time and batch pipelines that ingest user interaction data from sources such as Segment, Google Analytics, and direct customer integrations. You will own and optimize systems that run at massive scale, ensuring low‑latency event delivery and high reliability.

• Design and maintain reliable pipelines for ingesting and processing real‑time and batch data from diverse external sources.
• Own and optimize systems that run at massive scale, ensuring low‑latency event delivery and high reliability.
• Collaborate with backend, frontend, and product teams to align technical decisions with customer‑facing needs.
• Contribute to architectural improvements that make the event ingestion platform more robust, efficient, and extensible.
• Mentor new engineers and share knowledge across the team.

• Solid experience with data pipelines and event‑driven architectures at scale.
• Proficiency in Go or another backend language, with ability to adapt quickly.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, and messaging platforms like Pub/Sub.
• Hands‑on experience with Big Query or similar data warehouses for analytics.
• Track record of collaborating with cross‑functional teams on production‑critical systems.

• Familiarity with GCP and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Exposure to frontend systems (React, Rails) and their interaction with backend pipelines.
• Experience integrating with customer‑facing APIs or analytics connectors.
• Background in onboarding to inherited systems and driving re‑architecture.
