You will be leading one of the product teams within the Signal SaaS web application. The focus is on building supporting infrastructure and data visualization features — such as charts, graphs, tables, and maps — that help users interact with complex shipping data. Alongside feature development, the team invests in building reusable components that support both their own roadmap and other teams, with a strong focus on automated testing inside CI/CD pipelines.
TechnologyStack
Cloud solutions using C#, .NET Core, React, Kubernetes, Mongo
DB, MSSQL Server, Snowflake, DuckDB, Redis, Docker, Grafana, Influx and more. The team works on state‑of‑the‑art architectures and technology stacks, using Dual‑track Agile (Scrum) methodologies and contributing across product discovery, delivery, optimization, QA, Dev Ops and continuous integration.
Team Management
- Prioritise work for junior engineers and coach others when needed.
- Support team growth in coding best practices, architecture and SDLC.
- Set clear expectations and create career growth plans.
- Manage performance and provide regular feedback.
- Support onboarding for new team members.
Delivery
- Keep stakeholders updated on progress and status of the team's projects.
- Propose multiple solution options with trade‑offs clearly explained.
- Unblock technical work for engineers through simplification or pair programming.
- Take ownership of specific features and provide implementation for the most complex parts.
- Ensure monitoring and logging of team‑owned features.
Collaboration
- Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional counterparts.
- Work closely with Product Managers to refine and clarify requirements.
- Recognise and celebrate team members' contributions.
- Mediate and resolve conflict efficiently and constructively.
- Lead retrospectives and continuous improvement activities.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or exceptional practical experience.
- At least one full year of people‑management experience, leading a team of ~5 direct reports.
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in full‑stack development.
- Experience in the React ecosystem and Microsoft C#/.NET Core.
- Knowledge and active interest in design patterns and SOLID architecture principles.
- Experience with relational and non‑relational databases (design, administration, tuning) and ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework, Dapper.
- Experience with testing and mocking frameworks.
- Familiarity with microservices and REST APIs.
- Experience with cloud computing technologies, including configuring and tuning web stacks in the cloud.
- Comfortable working in Agile environments and adapting to changing priorities.
- Experience building, managing and developing on cloud infrastructure (Azure).
- Experience in Dev Ops tasks and tools (Git, Git Hub, Git Hub Actions, Azure management console).
- Experience with project management tools (JIRA, Product Board, Confluence).
