We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Software Development team. This is an opportunity to work within a well-established team where your primary responsibilities are to utilise technology to solve business problems and help to maintain and foster a collaborative working culture. We work in a fast paced and dynamic environment where the goal is to help deliver Aspect's ambitious business plans.

• 4-6 years of experience as a software engineer in a professional environment, managing projects to take requirements from concept to production use.
• Financial experience and domain knowledge.
• Strong development skills:
  Java experience is a must as well as competence in, or willingness to learn, Python.
• The ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly and concisely with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in Python or MATLAB

• Manage technical projects whilst workingcloselywithourinternal businessusersto break down high level requirements intofeasibletechnology solutions and identifying opportunities for unlocking business value.
• Developfeatures on a range of systems written in Java, Python, and MATLAB, integrating with our proprietary trading systems and strategic SaaS providers,utilisingindustry best practice in SDLC(e.g.,TDD,CI/CD, monitoring)
• Understand key featuresof theexpandingrange of financial markets
  
  Aspecttrades and the business processes that arerequiredto support them.
• Keep up to date with what is going on in the wider tech community - you will be encouraged to attend events like conferencesand meet-ups.
