Join to apply for the Product Manager (Enterprise Payments) role at Verto
.
At Verto, we’re on a mission to democratise global finance and empower businesses in Emerging Markets to reach the world. Founded by British‑Nigerian entrepreneurs Ola Oyetayo and Anthony Oduu, our roots in Africa gave us a firsthand understanding of the significant challenges businesses face with cross‑border payments. We’re committed to bridging the gap between emerging and developed markets and fostering global economic growth.
This deep‑rooted insight has driven the evolution of our FX solution into a market‑leading platform that enables thousands of businesses to transfer billions of dollars annually. We believe that where you do business shouldn’t determine your success or ability to scale. We’re creating equal access to easy payment and liquidity solutions that are a given in developed markets.
We’re backed by world‑class investors including Y‑Combinator, Quona, and MEVP, and have been recognized with the Milken‑Moshegeapa Prize, CNBC’s list of fastest growing UK companies, Deloitte Fast 50, and Sifted’s fastest‑growing UK tech companies.
Role OverviewWe are looking for an API‑first Product Manager with experience in developer‑focused products to own the strategy and execution of our Payments for Platforms offering. Your mission will be to build a world‑class, developer‑centric product that enables SaaS companies, marketplaces, and other digital platforms to embed Verto’s global payment and FX capabilities directly into their applications via our API. You will be responsible for the entire developer journey.

Roadmap:
Create and maintain the product roadmap, writing clear technical specifications, API contracts, and user stories for a developer audience. - Analyze Platform Metrics:
Define and track key metrics (KPIs) such as API adoption rates, time‑to‑first‑call, developer satisfaction, and transaction volume per partner. - Collaborate for Success:
Work closely with engineering, design, compliance, sales, and go‑to‑market teams to build and launch a successful platform product.
- Proven API/Platform PM
Experience:
A track record of shipping successful API‑first or developer‑focused B2B products. - Deep Domain Knowledge: A strong understanding of Payments‑as‑a‑Service (PaaS) or embedded finance concepts, and comfort with API design principles (REST), webhooks, and platform architecture.
- Technical Acumen:
You should be able to hold technical discussions with engineers about API design and system architecture. - Developer Empathy: A genuine passion for understanding and solving problems for a developer audience.
- Excellent Communication:
The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Data‑Driven Approach:
Comfortable making decisions based on data in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment. - Regulatory Familiarity:
Experience working in a regulated or compliance‑heavy industry is a strong plus.
