As a Lead Software Engineer (Front End), you will drive the evolution of Agoda’s front‑end systems, architecting, implementing, and optimizing interfaces that serve millions of travelers.

• Lead the design and development of highly distributed, large‑scale front‑end applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to design, implement, and improve scalable applications and services.
• Serve as a front‑end expert on large‑scale projects, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Lead hands‑on development of proof‑of‑concepts and evaluate new technologies.
• Implement technical and strategic decisions in cross‑functional teams.
• Build a culture that optimizes performance using best practices.
• Maintain coding standards and stay current with industry and technology development.
• Participate in strategic discussions on Agoda’s technology direction.
• Contribute to the professional development of the team.

• 12+ years of software development experience with at least 3 years as a Tech Lead.
• Proven experience designing, building, and operating high‑performance, scalable front‑end systems.
• Extensive experience with client‑side technologies and modern frameworks (JavaScript, Type Script, React).
• Comfort with multiple programming languages and frameworks, continuously raising technical excellence.
• Mentoring experience with senior and staff engineers.
• Ability to provide technical direction across groups and lead impactful projects.
• Strong business sense and ability to align engineering with business priorities.
• Continuous learning mindset, influencing others, and proactively improving processes.

• Knowledge of physical architecture at scale and building resilient, highly available solutions.
• Strong experience in client‑side performance optimization.
• Proficiency in modern coding and design practices such as Clean Code, SOLID principles, and TDD.
• Understanding of back‑end technologies and how they integrate with front‑end systems.
