The Macquarie Asset Management Technology team has global presence and builds user-friendly applications, reliable data pipelines, and cloud-native platforms that enable data-driven decision-making. We work closely with business stakeholders, senior leaders, data managers, and analysts, providing direct access to those shaping strategy and growth.
This is a fast-moving environment where innovation and automation are key, offering exposure to modern cloud architectures and greenfield solutions.
While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in the advertised location.
At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone - no matter what role - contributes ideas and drives outcomes.
What role will you play? You will join a full-stack engineering team responsible for designing and building user‑centric applications and the end‑to‑end data foundations that power them. Working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams, you will deliver features and insights through reliable ingestion, transformation, and access layers, optimising cloud storage and table formats for analytical workloads and integrating with query engines. You will apply strong testing, deployment, and automation practices to ensure secure, maintainable tools backed by trustworthy, query‑ready data.
In addition, you will design and provision scalable cloud infrastructure, develop and integrate secure APIs, and automate build, test, and release processes across environments. Using Infrastructure as Code, serverless and microservices patterns, and CI/CD pipelines, you will enable high‑availability, secure, and cost‑efficient operations. This role offers influence over greenfield solutions, exposure to modern cloud architectures, and the chance to innovate and leave a lasting impact on a high‑priority business.
