Location & Travel Requirements

We are seeking an Estate Planning Consultant who will conduct home visits to assist clients in drafting and creating wills. You will discuss clients’ requirements, explain how wills, trusts and lasting powers of attorney protect them, and ensure their wishes are accurately documented with compassion and care.

• Conduct in‑depth consultations during home visits to understand clients’ needs, assets and preferences.
• Guide clients through the legal aspects of will creation and answer questions with clarity.
• Collaborate with legal teams to stay informed about current estate‑planning laws and regulations.
• Maintain meticulous record‑keeping to track client information, preferences and legal documentation.
• Support online Wills and other services within the company when required.
• Provide excellent customer service, offering ongoing support and addressing post‑visit inquiries or adjustments.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in estate planning to enhance service delivery.

• Comfortable being fully remote on appointments (with occasional in‑office days).
• Must have a full UK driving licence and be willing to drive around London.
• STEP qualified (preferred).
• Knowledge of how to write wills and understanding of the legalities.
• Knowledge of how LPAs work.
• In‑depth understanding of Octopus Legacy’s services and ability to upsell.
• Proficient in identifying indicators of concerns related to clients’ testamentary capacity.
• High levels of empathy, discretion and care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Active listening skills and the ability to understand the customer’s needs.
• Proactive in initiating tasks independently and following instructions effectively.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate home visits based on clients’ availability.
