About the role

The above opportunity has arisen for this new post to provide support within the Housing Income team. The role is to manage all Sheltered housing income, with responsibility for maximising income from rent, service charge and personal charges. Assisting and supporting Sheltered residents to maximise their income and to take appropriate arrears action where necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all sheltered housing income streams, including rent, service charge and personal charges.
  • Maximise income from rent, service charge and personal charges.
  • Visit residents in their homes and attend scheme surgeries supporting welfare benefit take up and tenancy sustainment.
  • Assist and support sheltered residents to maximise their income and take appropriate arrears action where necessary.
Qualifications & requirements
  • Good knowledge of IT and competence in Microsoft Office applications and rent recovery applications.
  • Knowledge and experience of recovering debt.
  • Excellent customer service skills and effective communication with service users, care providers, representatives and staff.
  • High motivation and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with sheltered housing residents is desirable.
