Job DescriptionAs a Team Leader for the Foreign National Service at HMP Wandsworth, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering vital support services. You'll work closely with FNOs and the Support Worker to provide interventions to help them engage with the regime, gain practical skills, and access purposeful activities.
Your duties will include:
- Managing service performance to meet contractual commitments and maximise effectiveness.
- Representing the service at multi‑agency meetings, providing updates and future plans.
- Leading and supporting staff to meet objectives through supervision, training, and performance management.
- Developing and delivering innovative interventions to motivate and encourage FNOs' engagement.
- Maintaining stakeholder relationships within the prison cluster and sharing relevant information.
- Managing a caseload of FNOs, conducting assessments, implementing support plans, and monitoring outcomes.
- Delivering group activities and workshops to enhance communication skills and confidence.
- Collaborating with partners to ensure a cohesive pathway of support for FNOs.
- Involving FNOs in co‑creating the service to address their priorities and needs.
- Providing training to professionals to raise awareness and develop skills in supporting FNOs.
- Making appropriate referrals and signposting FNOs to support services and activities.
- Ensuring genuine engagement with offenders and supporting their progress towards independence.
Organisational Relationships:
You’ll report to the Senior Operations Manager and collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including directors, service managers, probation staff, and prison personnel.
