Position: Housing Liaison Officer
Location: Greater London

Overview

We are working closely alongside with a local authority in Haringey to assist with the appointment of a Housing Liaison Officer on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at the client’s discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay
: £17.61-£23.08 per hour

Summary

The Housing Liaison Officer is part of a team dedicated to delivering a high-quality, flexible, and value-for-money service to tenants. This role involves managing new tenancies and tenancy changes, interviewing service users, and handling general enquiries. The officer serves as a visible presence on estates, ensuring that neighborhoods remain clean and safe, residents are well-supported, and overall resident satisfaction remains high.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out tenancy checks, serve legal notices (Notice to Quit or Notice of Seeking), and manage the ending of tenancies.
  • Manage incidents of low-level ASB, nuisance, and neighbour disputes; take enforcement action or refer complex cases to a Senior Housing Officer.
  • Conduct routine and ad hoc visits to address arrears, vulnerability, or rehousing needs. Identify vulnerable residents and coordinate with external agencies to ensure their needs are addressed.
  • Liaise with partners such as the DWP and CAB to help residents maximise benefit entitlements and minimise over payments
Essentials
  • Experience working with the general public, preferably in a service delivery setting, and within a diverse community
  • Knowledge of social housing, housing management, and a good understanding of related social housing issues
  • Knowledge and awareness of safeguarding issues.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise letters and reports, as well as collecting and presenting data

  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
