Job Description

1-2 Month Contract with a Local Authority

Summary

  • Manage a Children & Families caseload of varying complexity, focusing on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of appropriate actions. This role is crucial in effectively utilizing resources to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and their families. The postholder will operate in accordance with the Social Care Capability Framework (SCCF).
Responsibilities
  • Manage a Children & Families caseload, including complex and diverse cases, involving assessments, reviews, welfare report preparation, and court attendance.
  • Ensure effective client group needs are met in alignment with the Social Care Capability Framework standards.
  • Handle caseloads within the appropriate supervision framework, based on case complexity and post-qualification experience.
  • Develop strong partnerships with statutory agencies, voluntary and private sector agencies, carers, and those with parental responsibility to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
Essential Experience Required
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role within [sector, e.g., social care, housing, support services].
  • Experience managing a caseload of complex cases, with the ability to prioritize and work independently.
  • Experience working with legislation, policies, or frameworks relevant to the role.
Essential Qualifications Required
  • Degree in Social Work (Dip HE/Degree or Post Grad) and registration as a social worker with the Health Care Professional’s Council.
  • ASYE must be completed if more than 2 years post-qualified.
Additional Information
  • Bi-weekly payments.
  • Enhanced DBS required.
