Job OverviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to join the Learning Disability Adult Social Care Team in Wandsworth.
This ongoing locum position offers a competitive hourly rate of £32.00 and flexible part-time or full-time working options. You will be working within a well-established, supportive multi-disciplinary service delivering high-quality, person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities across Richmond and Wandsworth.
You will be joining a service made up of Service Managers, Assistant Service Managers, Senior Social Workers, Social Workers, and Social Care Assessors, all committed to delivering excellent outcomes for residents.

What You Will DoUndertake assessments of individual and carer needs and risks, promoting independence and safeguarding adults at risk.
Work collaboratively with service users and carers using a person-centred, strengths-based approach to maximise wellbeing, independence, and choice.
Apply core social work principles and values, ensuring practice is ethical, inclusive, and professional.
Maintain high standards of service provision in line with statutory duties and local authority expectations.
Make sound professional judgements, including in complex or crisis situations.
Work in partnership with health, housing, and other professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic support plans.
Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records in line with statutory and organisational requirements.
RequirementsDegree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
Registered with Social Work England.
Experience working within Adult Social Care and/or Learning Disability services.
Good working knowledge of:
Care Act 2014
Mental Capacity Act 2005
Safeguarding Adults procedures
Ability to work confidently in complex, fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments.
