Housing Liaison Officer

The Housing Liaison Officer plays a pivotal role in connecting individuals and families in need of housing assistance with appropriate resources and services. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping others and is committed to providing tailored support to vulnerable populations. As a Housing Liaison Officer, you will be responsible for assessing the housing needs of clients, coordinating with various housing agencies and local organizations, and advocating for solutions that improve access to housing.

You will also facilitate workshops and informational sessions that educate clients on their housing rights and available options. Working closely with social services, you will identify any barriers to housing stability and work collaboratively to remove these obstacles. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of the housing landscape in our community. You will be part of a dedicated team focused on creating sustainable housing solutions, ensuring that individuals and families receive the support they need to achieve and maintain stable housing.

Responsibilities
  • Assess clients' housing needs and create personalized action plans.
  • Coordinate with local housing agencies and service providers to connect clients with resources.

  • Monitor and follow up on clients' progress towards achieving housing stability.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, urban studies, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in housing assistance or social services.
  • Strong understanding of the housing market and available resources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Compassionate understanding of the challenges faced by individuals experiencing housing instability.
Hours Per Week

  • End Time: 17:30
