This role will coordinate a low‑cost counselling service in Barnet which supports adults experiencing a range of challenges including mental health issues, domestic abuse, and/or substance use. The role combines counselling delivery with service coordination, outreach and volunteer management.
Main Purpose of the Role:- Provide culturally appropriate counselling to adults in Barnet and surrounding areas.
- Recruit support and coordinate trainee and volunteer counsellors.
- Promote the service and raise awareness among potential users and referrers.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
- Ensure the service is delivered in line with funding agreements and organisational objectives.
- Carry out client assessments and create tailored care / counselling plans.
- Deliver structured counselling sessions and oversee reviews and discharges.
- Allocate clients appropriately to volunteers / trainees and coordinate service rotas.
- Respond to safeguarding concerns in line with EACHs policies and local protocols.
- Engage in outreach and community events to promote the service.
- Maintain records for monitoring, evaluation and reporting requirements.
- Support the development of the service as part of EACHs Life Therapies social enterprise.
- Ensure trainees and volunteers work in line with organisational policies and procedures.
- Participate in supervision training and team development.
Salary scale: £32,625 - £34,820 per annum (inclusive of Outer London Weighting) for FTE (37.5 hours). Pro‑rata: £18,270 - £19,500 for 21 hours per week.
