Plumbing and Heating Engineer – London & Surrounding CountiesFirst Choice Drainage Solutions is a family-run business operating across the drainage, plumbing, heating, and groundworks sector. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis, covering London and the surrounding home counties.
This role would suit a well-rounded, experienced Plumber / Heating Engineer with strong domestic and commercial experience who takes pride in quality workmanship and customer service.
Location & TravelThis is a road-based role covering London and surrounding counties. The company’s head office is located in Harlow, Essex, with occasional visits required for meetings, training, and equipment collection.
Key Responsibilities- Service, repair, and maintain gas heating systems
- Install, service, and repair gas boilers in line with Gas Safety Regulations and manufacturer guidelines
- Carry out general plumbing works, including installation and maintenance of pipework, fixtures, and water supply systems
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues such as leaks, blockages, and low water pressure
- Conduct CCTV drain inspections, leak detection, and pipe relining where required
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Accurately diagnose faults and recommend the most cost-effective repair solutions
- Plan and organise daily workload to maximise productivity
- Respond to urgent and emergency repairs while meeting appointment targets
- Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism at all times
- Proven experience as a Plumber / Heating Engineer
- Recognised plumbing qualification
- Experience working with gas and heating systems
- Gas Safe Registered (essential)
- Minimum 5 years’ plumbing experience
- Full UK clean driving licence (minimum 2 years)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
- Fully equipped company van

- Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime and incentives
