We are seeking skilled and qualified ICAT Painters with PTS certification to join our team for upcoming weekend possession works in London. We are also open to candidates holding Train The Painter qualifications. These projects are set to commence in February and offer an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile rail infrastructure projects in a professional and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

As an ICAT Painter with PTS, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing surfaces and applying protective coatings in accordance with project specifications.
  • Ensuring all painting and coating work meets industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Working collaboratively with other team members to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.
  • Adhering to all health and safety protocols, particularly within a rail environment.
  • Conducting quality checks to ensure the durability and finish of applied coatings.
  • Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • ICAT Painter certification or Train The Painter qualification.
  • Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification (valid and up-to-date).
  • Proven experience in industrial painting, particularly within rail or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices in a rail environment.
  • Ability to work weekends and during possession periods.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Day-to-Day

Your day-to-day activities will involve:

  • Reporting to the site supervisor and receiving daily work instructions.
  • Preparing and treating surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and priming.
  • Applying industrial coatings using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety standards and project timelines.
  • Collaborating with team members to address challenges and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Completing daily reports and communicating progress to the project manager.
