Location: Greater London

Daniel Owen Agency are currently seeking a qualified and reliable Plumber to work across the Northern section of the GTR (Govia Thameslink Railway) network, covering depots from Hornsey to Peterborough. Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence is essential. To be suitable for this role, you will also require a DBS certificate.

The Company:

Based in the south of England and established in the early 1990s, this company has seen significant growth and now operates across multiple sectors, with a strong focus on the rail industry. They provide both planned and reactive maintenance services and are committed to delivering an exceptional standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responding to reactive plumbing issues across various railway depots and facilities.

  • Carrying out general plumbing maintenance and repairs, including pipework, taps, toilets, and washroom facilities.

  • Unblocking toilets and drains as required.

  • Ensuring all works are completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations.

  • Being on call every 4 weeks to cover out-of-hours emergency plumbing faults.

  • Taking deliveries and managing materials on site.

  • Completing planned preventative maintenance tasks according to client specifications.

  • Working as part of a team to ensure smooth delivery of services across all sites.

Key Requirements:
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential).

  • DBS Certificate is preferable.

  • Must be Gas Safe registered.

  • Comfortable with all aspects of plumbing, including unblocking toilets and dealing with drainage issues.

  • Ability to work independently and use initiative to resolve issues.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Benefits:
  • Participation in call-out rota (1 in 6 weeks) with standby pay of £125 per week.

  • 20 days of annual leave.

  • Automatic enrolment in the company pension scheme (employee contribution 5%, employer contribution 3%).

  • Working hours:

    08:00-17:30, with occasional weekend work as required.

  • Company sick pay scheme.
