Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer - London

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer to join a growing and well‑established fire and life safety company based in London. The role is full‑time, permanent and offers a competitive salary of £45,000‑£48,000 per annum (negotiable), overtime, a company vehicle, and long‑term career progression within a reputable organisation.

• Commission fire alarm systems and associated life safety equipment in accordance with BS 5839 and current industry regulations.
• Liaise with Project Managers and Works Departments to ensure best practice and cost‑effective solutions.
• Carry out commissioning works across commercial and residential sites throughout London.
• Work with a range of fire alarm manufacturers' systems.
• Ensure all works are completed to a high standard of quality and compliance.
• Provide clear communication with customers and internal teams.
• Complete documentation and handover reports accurately and efficiently.
• Support other engineers and team members when required.

• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer or Fire Alarm Engineer.
• Ideally 3+ years’ experience within the fire alarm industry (desirable but not essential).
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and commissioning procedures.
• Experience working with multiple fire alarm manufacturers.
• Willingness to undertake further training and development.
• Relevant certifications such as IPAF, CSCS/ECS, FIA, City & Guilds (desirable).
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and self‑motivation.
