Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer - London
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer to join a growing and well‑established fire and life safety company based in London. The role is full‑time, permanent and offers a competitive salary of £45,000‑£48,000 per annum (negotiable), overtime, a company vehicle, and long‑term career progression within a reputable organisation.

- Location:
London (field‑based, multi‑site)
- Commission fire alarm systems and associated life safety equipment in accordance with BS 5839 and current industry regulations.
- Liaise with Project Managers and Works Departments to ensure best practice and cost‑effective solutions.
- Carry out commissioning works across commercial and residential sites throughout London.
- Work with a range of fire alarm manufacturers' systems.
- Ensure all works are completed to a high standard of quality and compliance.
- Provide clear communication with customers and internal teams.
- Complete documentation and handover reports accurately and efficiently.
- Support other engineers and team members when required.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer or Fire Alarm Engineer.
- Ideally 3+ years’ experience within the fire alarm industry (desirable but not essential).
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems and commissioning procedures.
- Experience working with multiple fire alarm manufacturers.
- Willingness to undertake further training and development.
- Relevant certifications such as IPAF, CSCS/ECS, FIA, City & Guilds (desirable).
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and self‑motivation.
