Location:
London (site based, mobile across London)
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours:
08:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday (additional hours may be required)
Overtime/Callout: 1 week in every 4 weeks on-call (17:30 to 08:00) plus occasional weekends

The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to cover London sites, carrying out reactive and planned maintenance across a varied commercial portfolio. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident working independently, completing PPM schedules, responding to breakdowns, and supporting the wider team with remedial planning and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
As an Air Conditioning Engineer, your duties will include:
* Carry out reactive maintenance and planned maintenance (PPM) on all air conditioning equipment listed on the client asset register
* Complete planned maintenance works in line with client specification and site requirements
* Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and restore systems back to operation efficiently
* Compile a list of remedial works required following PPM visits
* Support the Contracts Manager by assisting with costings for remedial works
* Make recommendations on the condition of plant, including submitting Life Expired reports where required
* Order job materials, take deliveries, and check delivery notes (handing to the foreman)
* Complete worksheets accurately and submit paperwork to head office each Friday
* Attend training and Health & Safety courses as required by the Contracts Manager
* Follow accident reporting procedures, notifying the nominated first aider and completing accident report forms when necessary
Callout Rota
* Every 4 weeks (currently 1 in
6) you will be the out-of-hours callout Air Conditioning Engineer, covering reactive faults between 17:30 and 08:00 for that week.
Requirements
To be considered for this Air Conditioning Engineer position, you will need:
* Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer (service, maintenance, reactive faults, PPM)
* Full UK driving licence
* Strong fault-finding ability and a professional approach on client sites
* Good paperwork/worksheet completion and general admin discipline
* Positive attitude towards compliance, procedures, and health & safety
Package
* £40,000 basic salary
* Permanent full-time position
* Structured working week with additional overtime/callout requirements
