The RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a focus on delivering high-quality engineering solutions. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for a range of electrical systems and projects, ensuring they meet industry standards and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Attend various sites to complete electrical installation tasks, including single/three phase supplies, tray work, and conduit.
- Maintain electrical systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections, tests, and preventative maintenance of electrical systems.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to support ongoing projects.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Produce detailed reports and documentation for all electrical work completed.
- Conduct general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshoot electrical issues with testing equipment.
- Install, service, and maintain electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current edition of IET Wiring Regulations.
- Basic plc fault finding (advantageous).
- Panel building (advantageous).
- Assist building and wiring machines in workshop.
- Install new machines on site including power supply and control wiring.
Skills and Qualifications
- A relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in electrical engineering, ideally within an industrial or commercial setting.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and circuit design.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., IET wiring regulations, health and safety).
- Clean driving licence.
- Electrical installation experience to include lighting systems.
- Provide own basic tools.
- Inspection and testing preferable.
- Competitive salary of £45,000 per annum.
- A Monday to Friday working schedule (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM), early finishes on Fridays (8:00 AM - 3:00 PM).
