Location: Greater London

Responsibilities

  • Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in industrial, commercial, and residential environments.
  • Learn to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts.
  • Work closely with the lead electrician to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Carry out conduit installation, wiring, and termination under supervision.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and testing on electrical systems, and ensure installations are to manufacturer standards, including fire alarms and security systems.
  • Comply with all safety and building regulations as per the National Electrical Code and Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines.
  • Attend additional training sessions to gain more knowledge and skills.
Person Specification
  • Previous experience in an electrical apprenticeship or similar role.
  • Additional certifications related to electrical work, such as ECS card.
  • Basic knowledge of renewable energy systems and smart home technology.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures.
  • Strong mathematical skills to calculate angles, weights, and measures.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
