Position Overview

A Mobile Building Engineer provides on-site technical support, maintenance, and engineering services across multiple building locations within a designated geographic area. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with travel requirements to ensure optimal building operations and tenant satisfaction.##

Key Responsibilities
** Building Systems Management
*** Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems across assigned properties
* Conduct routine inspections of building equipment including boilers, chillers, generators, elevators, and fire safety systems
* Monitor and optimize building performance to ensure energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness
** Emergency Response and Repairs
*** Respond to urgent maintenance requests and emergency calls across multiple sites
* Diagnose equipment failures and implement immediate solutions to minimize downtime
* Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs
* Maintain emergency contact protocols and after-hours response capabilities
** Compliance and Safety
*** Ensure all building systems comply with local codes, regulations, and safety standards
* Conduct safety inspections and maintain required documentation
* Manage environmental compliance including waste management and hazardous materials handling
* Maintain current certifications and licenses as required by jurisdiction
** Documentation and Reporting
*** Complete detailed work orders, maintenance logs, and inspection reports
* Track equipment performance data and recommend capital improvements
* Maintain accurate inventory of tools, parts, and supplies across locations
* Provide regular status updates to property management teams##
** Experience
* ** 3-5 years of building maintenance or facilities management experience
* Experience with commercial building systems and equipment
* Knowledge of building automation systems and energy management
* Previous mobile or multi-site experience preferred
** Technical Skills
*** Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
* Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
* Experience with computerized maintenance management systems BMS## This role is ideal for experienced building engineers who enjoy variety, travel, and working independently while maintaining multiple client relationships across a portfolio of commercial properties.
