Job Overview

We’re recruiting two exceptional Campus Security Managers to lead high-performing security teams across critical national sites. The role requires on‑site presence Monday to Friday, responsiveness out of hours and regular travel between Hertfordshire, London, Slough and Cardiff.

One position is London‑based covering London and Slough, while the second is Slough‑based covering Slough and Cardiff, with Slough as the primary location.

You’ll bring fresh thinking to an already successful team, demonstrating excellent people skills, exceptional security‑operations knowledge and the ability to lead, coach and develop diverse teams. Proactive, confident decision‑makers who are committed to safety, skilled in stakeholder management and comfortable operating across multiple locations are ideal. A car and a valid driving licence are essential.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage physical security operations at multiple critical infrastructure facilities.
  • Drive safety programming for the security team with a goal of zero workplace injuries onsite.
  • Actively manage site security personnel; partner with the local branch to recruit, hire, onboard, train and develop staff.
  • Ensure each staff member is treated with dignity and respect.
  • Plan, assign and manage physical security projects and tasks to timely completion.
  • Coach security employees and carry out disciplinary actions in accordance with current policy.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of site security operations and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Utilise excellent customer service and communication skills, set the example and hold site security staff accountable.
  • Ensure site health and key performance indicator goals are met or exceeded; work with the Regional Security Manager (RSM) to enhance team effectiveness and performance.
  • Meet regularly with the client and Securitas corporate management representatives for account reviews, address issues promptly and support security planning, assessments and surveys.
  • Keep management informed of major accomplishments, issues and concerns.
  • Follow standardised procedures to successfully complete unannounced audits.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Split time equally between sites, building familiarity with each location, leading the team, building the program and coaching for success.
  • Demonstrate understanding and engagement with the Securitas Core Values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness, whilst recognising risk within the workplace and considering safety a priority, complying with relevant policies, procedures and training provided by the Company.
Qualifications
  • Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history.
  • Valid UK driver’s licence.
  • Minimum 4 years security experience + 5 years management experience.
  • Capable of handling confidential information, using computers extensively and meeting physical role demands.
  • Experience with CCTV, access control and incident management systems is beneficial.
  • Strong leadership: takes ownership, drives excellence, delivers results and builds high-performing teams.
  • Supports people development: empowers others, gives/asks for feedback and leads by example.
  • Strategic mindset: drives innovation, seeks opportunities, collaborates effectively and values diverse perspectives.
  • Meets all licensing and security-officer compliance requirements.
  • Solid knowledge of security operations, supervisory practices and 24/7 facility procedures.
  • Skilled in staff supervision, scheduling, motivating teams and maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present and run meetings in person or online.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Associate degree required;
    Bachelor’s and certifications (CPP/PSP) preferred.
