Area Relief Security Officer

Mitie has a great opportunity for a Retail Elite Security Officer to join the Total Security Management Team. The role involves covering various shift patterns and working locations with flexibility as required.

Location:

Various contracts within London

• Protect customers and colleagues from physical and verbal abuse, providing a reassuring and professional security presence.
• Maintain a highly visible security presence that is easily identified by customers and colleagues while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Proactively deter and prevent anti‑social behaviour, theft and criminal activity.
• Liaise with store management, police and external agencies when required.
• Use conflict resolution techniques to diffuse difficult situations that may arise within the workplace.
• Identify and rectify behaviours and situations that endanger the health, safety and wellbeing of colleagues, customers and fellow officers in line with company policies.

• Team player with an enthusiastic attitude.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Retail security experience.
• Flexible approach to work, able to adapt to different teams as required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability in the use of technology.
• Skill in identifying conflict triggers and strong mediation abilities.
• High ethical standards in conduct.
• Conflict resolution training.
• Frontline Door Supervision or Security Guarding Licence essential; CCTV Licence beneficial.
• A full UK driving licence beneficial.
• Proficiency in maximizing the use of BWCCTV during confrontational situations.
