Building Break Security Officer

Job Overview

Permanent position located at Kings Cross, London.

Working hours:

42 hours per week (4 on, 4 off). Salary: £14.28 per hour.

As a Buildings Break Security Officer you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of Kings X Estate. Your duties will include external patrols, incident response, access control, and visitor support in all weather conditions.

• Offer guidance and directions to visitors to ensure smooth access to buildings and estate facilities.
• Collaborate with other security personnel and estate staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Report hazards, incidents, suspicious activity, or notable interactions to the Control Room for logging and follow‑up.
• Respond promptly to alarm activations and escalates as per site protocols.
• Track, issue, and recover radios, keys, and security equipment using digital systems.
• Maintain accurate digital logs of all activity within the FCC, including personnel movements, equipment sign‑outs, and incidents.
