Control Room Operator

Overview

Pay rate: £15.72 per hour, plus CIM shift allowance of £11.08 per complete shift once training has been completed and passed successfully.

Shift Pattern: 7/3/7/4 (3 days, 4 nights, 3 days off, 4 days, 3 nights, 4 days off). Shifts are 07:00 - 19:00 or 19:00 - 07:00 over days/nights/weekends.

• The Operator will conduct regular camera patrols.
• Respond to Help Desk jobs (unlocks, emptying confidential bins etc.).
• Cover positions on the floor when required.
• Conduct external patrols if required.
• Check passes, have knowledge of the building and its occupants, have a good knowledge of the Assignment Instructions.
• Monitor alarms in the Control Room and know how to respond to them.
• Assist the Control Room Deputy Operations Manager/Operations Manager with any other Control Room duties.
• General duties such as signing keys in/out, answering the telephone and dealing with queries and issuing radios will also form part of the role.
• The above description of the role is not exhaustive, and other duties may be required as deemed necessary.

Please note, you will need to have passed a communication assessment prior to commencing work in the Control Room along with Critical Incident Management training.

• SIA guarding/DS/CP + CCTV licence required
• IT literate - ability to use computer systems
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• CTC cleared or meet the requirements to apply (minimum 3 years resident in the UK)
• Flexible attitude to work
• Excellent ‘Customer Service' skills
• Previous experience of working in a security Control Room
• Attention to detail
• Ability to contribute to the team
