That is why your contribution as our Safety and Security Manager is so important. Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel is our largest hotel with 1023 rooms and is a very busy operation.

Under the support and guidance of the relevant Senior Manager, you'll perform Head of Department duties connected to all Safety & Security services to our guests, employees, visitors, their belongings and all hotel assets. Delivering a personalised high standard of customer service. Effectively manage your department, being a hands on leader.

As one of London’s largest and busiest hotels, Park Plaza Westminster Bridge regularly hosts high‑profile events and VIP guests. We’re seeking a Safety & Security Manager with proven experience managing complex operations, collaborating with external agencies, and overseeing health & safety for large‑scale environments.

Your Main Duties As Our Safety And Security Manager
  • Surveillance duties, public area vigilance for external areas of the hotel
  • Handling security and safety breaches, conducting investigations
  • Follows guidance and instructions given by leadership team
  • Attends and completes all mandatory Health & Safety training, and is responsible for hygiene & health & safety within the department
  • Advising management of best practice, being solution focused, as well as improving & implementing security protocols to protect the business
  • Communicates effectively with both internal and external guests via written correspondence, phone and face to face
  • Engages with colleagues and guests, conducting & assisting sales with client show-rounds
  • Clear communication both written and verbal
  • Strong emphasis on managing and developing a team including training
  • Working with 3rd party agencies when necessary
  • Formulating of 90-day-action-plans and projects that have been assigned by the General/Hotel Manager
  • Plan, assist and participate in safety/security audits and submit follow up reports
  • Oversee the security control room operations, monitor training and competency in the use of all systems within the security control room
  • Monitor that the Security Officer schedules are appropriate for the requirements of the operations of the hotel
  • Complete weekly payroll with the Assistant Security Manager
  • Review security incidents/breaches and implement relevant changes, maintaining an incident log in the diligence system
  • Maintain and put correct measures in place to ensure that the systems for the control of all guest room entry keys, master keys and electronic devices are correctly audited and that all operating procedures are always followed.
  • Record‑keeping of Lost and Found Property procedures
  • Establishes/maintains strong relationships with relevant civil authorities and law enforcement and be main point of contact for the Police, law enforcement agencies, local authorities & government agencies (such as the EHO)
  • Assist with any VIP reconnaissance and fact finding duties
  • Ensure that the staff entrance procedures are always maintained, including staff bag searches
  • Ensure that the Security Officers patrol the hotel in its entirety at least once per shift (twice per team) and report any irregularities and breaches
  • Coordinate any emergency and evacuation procedures
  • Ensure that the hotel crisis management plan is updated monthly
  • Provide regular training to HODs on the hotel's emergency evacuation procedures
  • Assist and deliver the implementation of inspection programs
  • Revise departmental SOPs as necessary
  • To maintain and monitor the provision of information required by the CCTV operator
  • Oversee team members dealing with valuables / lost property / or guest room safes and ensure that all property is audited weekly
  • Attend internal/external meeting where necessary and chair the health and safety committee
What We’d Like To See From You
  • Extensive experience in the hotel safety and security industry
  • Minimum qualification:

    IOSH Managing Safely;
    Desirable: NEBOSH certification
