Role PurposeTo deliver a proactive, five-star security and guest experience service within a multifunctional office and events environment. The role ensures the safety and security of the building, supports exceptional client engagement, and works closely with the in-house Facilities team, reception, and building occupants to maintain compliance with security legislation, health and safety standards, and best operational practices.
Key Responsibilities- Security Operations
- Monitor building security in line with legislative protocols and best practices.
- Conduct perimeter checks and proactive site patrols.
- Operate and monitor CCTV systems; liaise with external monitoring stations as required.
- Maintain accurate incident reporting in the security log and elevate issues promptly.
- Act as a key point of support during emergency procedures and building evacuations.
- Guest Experience
- Provide a professional, welcoming presence at the front of house.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service to building occupants and visitors.
- Support reception during busy periods, including answering calls and assisting guests.
- Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of reception and communal areas.
- Event Support
- Assist with security planning and monitoring for building events.
- Ensure compliance with up-to-date protocols for event management and security legislation.
- Provide on-site support during events for smooth operations.
- Facilities & Operational Support
- Conduct routine health and safety checks and report hazards or non-compliance.
- Assist with postal duties and manage assigned tasks in the in-house CRM system.
- Support minor maintenance tasks within competency and safety limits.
- Engage with facilities contractors in line with site processes and protocols.
- Proactively report and follow up on facilities-related tasks and reactive works.
- Professional, confident, and customer-focused approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Flexible and proactive attitude to support a dynamic building environment.
- Knowledge of security legislation, health and safety standards, and emergency procedures.
- First Aid and Fire Warden certification (essential).
- Door Supervisor qualification (desirable).
- Security & Legislative Compliance
- Monitor building security in line with current legislation and site protocols.
- Ensure event security procedures comply with legal requirements and updated standards.
- Maintain accurate incident reporting in the security log.
- Liaise with external CCTV monitoring station and report any irregularities promptly.
- Health & Safety
- Conduct routine health and safety checks across the premises.
- Complete risk assessments for non-standard tasks or events.
- Ensure compliance with emergency evacuation procedures and assist during drills or real incidents.
- Wear appropriate PPE when required.
- Facilities & Operational Support
- Proactively report and follow up on facilities-related tasks and reactive works.
- Support minor maintenance tasks within competency and safety limits.
- Assist with postal duties and update tasks in the in-house CRM system.
- Engage with facilities contractors in line with site processes.
- Reception & Client Engagement
- Provide professional support to reception during peak times (answer calls, assist visitors).
- Maintain the presentation and cleanliness of reception and communal areas.
- Deliver a confident, courteous service to all building occupants and visitors.
- Event & Security Monitoring
- Support event security planning and monitoring in compliance with protocols.
- Perform perimeter checks and proactive site monitoring.
- Ensure CCTV systems are operational and report any faults immediately.
- Communication & Reporting
- Maintain clear communication with the Facilities team and Head of Facilities.
- Log all incidents accurately and elevate as required.
- Document compliance checks and safety observations.
