About the RoleWe are currently seeking a reliable and responsible Mobile Court & Tribunal Security Officer to join our team. The role involves providing site relief to address staffing gaps Sport for courts including Croydon Magistrates, Combined and Employment Tribunal Courts, a Tribunal Court in Central London, Woolwich Crown Court, Bexley Magistrates Court, Bromley County and Magistrates Courts, and two courts in Central London (Taylor House Tribunal and Central Family Court).
Shift patterns are irregular and depend on business needs; shifts can start at 7 am and last at least eight hours or more if cover is required. A three‑month probationary period precedes a full‑time position when available.
You will work Monday to Friday, minimum >
Cowork 4 hours per week, with flexible and part‑time hours as required. There is no weekend or night work, but overtime on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays is possible. OCS offers an attractive overtime rate: 1.5x for Saturdays, 2x for Sundays, and 1.5x for weekday overtime.
- Provide exceptional customer service, welcoming and guiding court users.
- Monitor premises and visitors via CCTV and x‑ray machines, and conduct metal detector checks and bag searches on arrival.
- Patrol and secure access to buildings and satellite buildings, maintaining contact with the control room using hand‑held radios.
- Respond to panic alarm buttons in judges’ rooms, courts and offices.
- Respond to any security issues within the complex, recording and reporting incidentskers.
- Must have Right to Work in the UK.
- An enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance will be completed for successful candidates. saturtable
- SIA Licence and relevant security‑related experience.
- UK driving licence (location dependent).
- Strong people and customer‑service skills.
- Good diligence and high standard of work.
- Effective communication skills.
- Minimum 40 hours contracted per week.
- Attendance Allowance of £1 per hour can be earned on contracted hours, subject to meeting attendance criteria.
- Help towards fuel expenses.
- Travel expenses and parking paid back three times per month.
