Responsibilities

As Security Manager, you will be responsible for shaping service delivery, managing teams, and driving improvements that support the University’s strategic goals - making a real impact on the day-to-day experience of our community.

Lead front-of-house and security operations across multiple sites, ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Manage teams and deliver 24/7/365 security and customer service operations.

Provide expert advice regarding security matters and ensure compliance with forthcoming legislation (Martyn’s Law).

Communicate extensively with neighbouring higher education institutions and stakeholders.

Drive improvements and manage change to create a culture of exceptional delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven track record in hands‑on management in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong customer service ethos and a passion for driving positive change.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.

Experience in creating a culture of exceptional delivery and managing change.

Contract

Permanent contract, full-time 35 hours per week, on‑site based. Monday‑Sunday (5 out of 7 days) with flexible start and finish time. Salary: £44,247 rising to £50,379 per annum.
