Location: Greater London

You will be a subject matter expert (SME) ensuring an event or site remains secure. Assess security risks, develop internal controls for privacy incident prevention or proprietary information theft and ensure that employees are addition the duties include but are not limited to:
Own all aspects of security operations for Apples live events including risk assessment, operational planning, incident response and implement Security & Crowd Management Plans in compliance with premises licence conditions the Private Security Industry Act 2001 and relevant British Standards (BS 8406, BS 9609, BS 7499). Conduct audience and security assessments to identify potential risk factors, incorporate findings into crowd management and security risk assessments covering security crowd dynamics, emergency actions, terrorism threats and comprehensive pre‑event briefings and post‑event debriefs for security personnel and key stakeholders.

Ensure that all incident reports, statements and evidence (CCTV, body‑worn video, written logs) are recorded, stored and shared in compliance with data protection legislation (UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018) and evidential continuity, relationships with law enforcement, government agencies, EHS facilities and outside compliance with SIA (Security Industry Association) licensing requirements including vetting, record‑keeping and deployment. The venue security provider has procedures for recruitment, vetting, licensing and training of security personnel that comply with the SIA ACS (Approved Contractor Scheme) with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and fire safety operation orders.

Direct & manage security vendor Apples global events security team in planning and executing security for corporate cultural red carpet and sporting an in-depth understanding of Apples businesses and needs.

  • Extensive demonstrable experience managing security at high‑profile events or venues
  • Substantial experience planning and operating crowd management and security at live music events
  • Established security network across venues, events and security providers
  • Proven ability to produce compliant documentation (risk assessments, method statements, incident reports)
  • Strong working knowledge of crowd dynamics, ingress/egress planning and emergency procedures
  • Demonstrable leadership in supervising large multi‑agency teams under high‑pressure conditions
  • SIA Door Supervisor or Close Protection Licence
  • Qualification in Crowd Safety Management (or similar)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of:
    • The Private Security Industry Act 2001
    • Licensing Act 2003 and local authority conditions
    • Relevant British Standards for event security and stewarding
    • Evidence of Counter Terrorism Awareness Training (ACT Awareness / ACT Strategic)
    • OSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification
    • Safeguarding (children and vulnerable adults)
    • ISO 9001 quality management systems and ACS accreditation processes
    • First Aid at Work (or higher‑level medical qualification)
    • Fire Safety & Evacuation Procedures training
  • Ability to travel 10 - 20% of the time
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to react to changes in a time‑critical environment to meet security needs and quickly evaluate situations
  • Experience managing, coordinating and maintaining multiple projects
  • Ability to think quickly and perform problem‑solving tasks within dynamic conditions
  • Demonstrate excellent communication with a strong attention to detail and courage to take initiative and drive projects to completion
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross‑functionally
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
