Dayshifts: 07:00 to 19:00 Night shifts: 19:00 to 07:00
Pay Rate: £13.94 per hour

To work as a member of the security team and overall Front of House team for the protection of persons and property and thereby the provision of a safe and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the management of the day-to-day running of the building, providing a Front of House Security Service and liaising with all potential tenants, managing their requests and escalating these to the Building Facilities Manager (FM), estate Security Control Room, maintenance service provider, client helpdesk and other service providers as directed.
- Work with the reception team to meet and greet visitors, ensuring relevant security procedures are followed.
- Maintain good order on site to protect everyone against violent acts, abuse and accidents.
- Protect client property against loss, theft, damage (including fire and water) and waste.
- Prevent offences against the law of the land, Uni Trust disciplinary codes and policies and ensure all are brought to management’s attention.
- Ensure basic fire precautions are in place and means of escape are clear.
- Undertake internal and external patrols and inspections in accordance with Assignment Instructions, utilising the MyTag smart patrolling and compliance system.
- Provide full reports on all maintenance and security related issues.
- Manage the Access Control System, produce new access cards for tenants/visitors, ensuring correct access levels are applied.
- Delete/archive any tenant staff leavers.
- Day-to-day manage all contractors working on site with the estate Security Control Room and report any contractor issues to the onsite FM /Estate Security Control Room.
- Order any stationary, equipment and materials as required.
- Control, monitor and instruct any extra cover Security Officers in procedures, including but not restricted to Assignment Instructions;
Reception Duties;
Health & Safety and any client instructions. - Ensure Assignment Instructions are adhered to at all times by security personnel.
- Forward required security documentation to the Security Manager / FM Manager.
- Provide information for and in accordance with company disciplinary procedures.
- Ensure all staff are trained to the client’s and the company’s standards.
- Review security procedures and develop these under guidance of the Site Security Manager.
- Comply with company health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a high standard of communication and good working relationship with all other staff, visitors and contractors.
- Carry out all other duties as required in a professional and diligent manner.
- Ensure each shift handover is done, sent out and completed in full with all checks done and messages included.
- Assist with investigations of thefts, complaints and incidents as required.
- Record and report all incidents.
- Record and report all accidents.
- Admin duties including quarterly key audits, fire alarm tests, equipment status logs and access card audits.
- Lead in the event of a full building evacuation/major incident, with assistance from the estate Duty Security Manager / estate security team where possible.
- Assist training staff on the client’s security systems (Access control, fire alarms, intruder alarms).
- Initiate call-out procedures in the event of a crisis situation arising.
- Handle additional ad-hoc administration duties and any reasonable requests from client regarding building management.
