Security Supervisor – Hilton London Olympia
Hilton London Olympia is looking for an experienced Security Supervisor who will patrol, monitor and observe security procedures to ensure a safe Guest and Member experience at the hotel while investigating theft and managing instances of undesirable behaviour. Shift work is required with flexibility around evenings, weekends and holidays. An SIA licence and CCTV training is essential.
Responsibilities- Monitor daily access control for guests, staff and visitors ensuring proper identification.
- Conduct regular searches of bags carried by staff or guests and report discrepancies.
- Maintain and record departmental key issuance and returns.
- Operate, check and monitor the CCTV system.
- Patrol the hotel on a regular basis and conduct fire walks, logging each occurrence.
- Detect and respond to suspicious packages, bomb/terror threats and other potential risks.
- Secure hotel facilities and function rooms when not in use.
- Maintain the Security Log Book and Incident Reports.
- Lead investigations of theft and other incidents, reporting all findings.
- De-accelerate and defuse undesirable behaviour in a professional manner.
- Report maintenance or hazard issues to on‑duty managers.
- Implement and enforce security policies, protocols and procedures to safeguard guests, employees and hotel assets.
- Coordinate the hotel’s emergency response plan for fires, theft, accidents or natural disasters. li>Serve as the primary contact for law enforcement, emergency services and third‑party security agencies.
- Conduct regular emergency drills and train staff on security protocols.
- Identify potential security risks, suggest preventive measures and review security systems for compliance.
- Collaborate with housekeeping, front desk and other departments to reduce internal operational risks.
- Lead and train external security staff in Hilton standards.
- Provide ongoing security training for hotel staff on guest safety, conflict resolution and emergency procedures.
- SIA licensed and CCTV trained.
- Flexible to work in shifts including weekends, holidays and nights.
- High school graduate or above.
- Good physical condition; able to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Knowledge of fire procedures, disaster plans, bomb threats and evacuation procedures.
- Well‑versed in local law/government regulation.
- Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Positive attitude, good communication skills and grooming standards.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work independently or in a team.
- Experience in a customer‑service environment is advantageous.
- First Aid certification, knowledge of P.A.C.E. and IT proficiency considered a plus.
- Annual Salary £28,000–£34,000.
