Job Overview
Deliver security services in direct accordance with the site’s published Assignment Instructions (AI’s) and any subsequent changes. Protect our customer’s property, people, and assets. Meet and/or exceed the Key Performance Indicators / Service Level Agreements for the customer, ensuring contract retention. Undertake additional training for continuous self‑development.
Main Duties Operations- Be aware of, and ensure compliance with, all aspects of policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK law and guidance bodies.
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions (AI’s).
- Proactively review the published Assignment Instructions, familiarise oneself with any changes, and suggest amendments that improve or enhance the level of service.
- Maintain industry and statutory compliance, including holding a front‑line licence in either Security Guarding or Door Supervision, a CCTV PSS SIA licence, and all requested contract courses.
- Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
- Follow instructions and procedures without unnecessarily challenging authority.
- Work systematically, methodically, and in an orderly manner.
- Fully and satisfactorily complete all required competency training.
- Take additional training to ensure continuous self‑development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge through continual professional development.
- Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
- Spot and immediately report any health & safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
- Stay alert to any threats or changes in the environment to take appropriate action to reduce disruption, loss, or damage.
- Use common sense and initiative, involving others if a situation becomes threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct in difficult situations and with challenging customers.
- Complete accurate, detailed notebook entries immediately after any incident, to support the Incident Report process.
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the client.
- Ensure check calls are carried out at the scheduled time slots as stipulated in the Assignment Instructions (AI’s).
- Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
- Previous security experience.
- SIA Licence.
- SC Clearance desirable.
