Reporting to: Site Security Manager / Deputy Security Managers
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off days, nights and weekends
Hours of Duty: Average 42 hrs per week
Pay Rate: Starting at £13.94 per hour

To work as a member of estate security team for the protection of persons and property, providing a safe and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the provision of day‑to‑day Front‑Line Security for the estate.
- Interact with all stakeholders, visitors, tenants and management team, dealing with any requests and escalating these where required to the estate Security Control Room.
- Carry out regular patrols and inspections, both internal and external across the estate including car parks.
- Working with the various Front of House Security teams providing relief cover for breaks.
- Maintain good order on site including protection against violent acts, abuse and accident.
- Protect private property belonging to the client, their staff and visitors against loss, theft and damage.
- Ensure basic fire precautions are in place and means of escape are kept clear.
- Provide full reports on all maintenance and security related issues.
- Escalate any contractor issues to the onsite FM / Estate Security Control Room.
- Provide information for and in accordance with company disciplinary procedures.
- Assist in training new staff to client’s and company’s standards.
- Comply with company health and safety procedures.
- Maintain high standard of communication and working relationships with all other staff, visitors and contractors.
- Carry out all duties in a professional and diligent manner.
- Liaise with retailers to advise them on complying with estate rules and licensing laws.
- Assist with investigations of thefts, complaints and incidents as required.
- Record and report all incidents.
- Record and report all accidents.
- Assist in the event of a full building evacuation / major incident.
- Be deployed on estate events.
- Good general health and fitness, able to work outdoors carrying out patrols.
- Previous security experience.
- Ability to cope with high‑pressure situations.
- Excellent time‑keeping and attendance.
- Must hold a valid Door Supervision or Close Protection SIA licence.
- CCTV badge beneficial.
- First aid trained.
- Excellent customer service, literacy and communication skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Excellent telephone manner.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Consistently smart appearance in the uniform provided and required by Unitrust.
- Reliability, self‑motivation and initiative; able to work without supervision.
- Tact and diplomacy when dealing with clients, staff and visitors, including in emergencies.
