Security Consultant - Volunteer

Overview

We rent a local authority building, which has had a security guard at the entrance for the last 18 months. We are now going to be responsible for security and many staff are concerned. We encounter people with mental health issues and other risks which we need help to manage.

It will mean that the staff and volunteers are safe when they come to the building, and that the vulnerable people who come to us for help are safe.

We want a security expert! We want to know what equipment and training we need to keep everyone safe. We want a security plan that we can implement, monitor, evaluate and amend.

We want the volunteer to advise us on the best way to keep our staff and volunteers safe once security is removed (it is only at night now, so we manage security during the day). We deal with vulnerable people and those who have mental health challenges and possibly violent behaviour. We will be responsible for opening up, locking up and reception soon.
